Our Core Purposes

Know God.

We consider reaching people who do not know God personally to be one of our greatest responsibilities. Our Sunday services are for people at all stages in life but are primarily designed for those who haven’t attended church before. In other words, we believe God has called us to be a church that unchurched people love to attend. We have created our Sunday services to be full of powerful worship and practical teaching.

Find Freedom.

We believe life change happens best in the context of relationships. Connect Groups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. God created us to live in community with others, and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us.

Discover Purpose.

We think that God created each of us on purpose with a purpose and that when we discover what that purpose is, we can begin to live life with more meaning and joy! Our purpose as a church is to help you discover your purpose!

Make a Difference.

All of us were created by God to make a difference in the world around us. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can impact the lives of others for the better. We believe your life gains meaning when you find, develop, and fulfill your purpose.

Our Core Beliefs

1. The Bible.

The Bible (Old and New Testament) is the inspired, accurate and authoritative Word of God. It is the blueprint and final authority for Christian Living.

2. God.

There is only one true God – holy, perfect, and all powerful. He exists in three equal and eternal persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are distinct, but act in absolute unity.

The Father – God the Father created the universe and everything in it. He is the center of truth and grace and the giver of all good things. The Father set a plan in place to save humanity from its sin and restore our relationship with Him.

The Son (Jesus Christ) – Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.  He came into the world as the full expression of truth and grace to carry out the plan for Salvation. He was born of a virgin, lived a life without sin, was crucified on a cross, and rose from the dead.

The Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit resides in every person redeemed by God. He is the teacher of truth and grace who encourages, empowers and guides believers of Jesus. He constantly points people to Jesus and gives believers different gifts to build up the body.

3. Mankind.

The Fall – Humanity was created in the image of God. However, by a voluntary act of the will, Adam and Eve disobeyed God. That first sin separated humanity from God and left mankind in a fallen or sinful condition.

The Salvation- The only means of salvation is Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins. When we put our faith in Jesus, our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is restored. We become part of His family and are given eternal life with Him.

4. The Church.

The church is the body of Christ sent into the world to lead people to know and love Jesus Christ. TimberCreek exists to help people Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference.

5. Eternal life.

Humans were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin in Hell, or together with God through forgiveness and salvation in Heaven.
